You drain out the excess. Too much oil is just as bad as too little. Both will cause engine damage.
The warning lights on a Renault Clio mean different things. Generally, they indicate that they is a fault with the system. The lights may include seatbelt light, oil light, battery, engine and so much more.
Sounds very much like the low fuel warning light
Use dipstick as a guide. Fill to proper level when engine off after it has settled/drained back to the pan.
three gallons
Tire pressure will not cause a check engine light.
I have a 2005 dodge neon that did the same thing. The engine light came on and it wouldn't shift out of first gear. I took it to the dealer, it was the main computer. I don't know how much is was because it was under warranty.
to my knowledge 5 litres.
12 litres, according to the handbook.
like 1800
I had this problem on my R reg Lanos. It was the Idle Air Control valve letting too much air into the engine. My mechanic simply cleaned it and it has been fine ever since. If it needs replacing they are about £100.
The sending unit is only to control the temperiture warning light/gauge on your dash. If you are referring to the sending unit in your overflow tank it just turns your low coolant light on. The temperiture sensor is used to feed engine temperiture data into the computer, to caculate how much fuel the engine will get during cold start up etc. It is simply input data for the computer.
