A high idle in a 1993 Mercedes 190E can be caused by several factors, including a malfunctioning idle air control valve, a vacuum leak, or an issue with the throttle position sensor. Additionally, a dirty or faulty mass airflow sensor could disrupt the air-fuel mixture, leading to an elevated idle. It's also worth checking for any trouble codes that may indicate specific problems. Regular maintenance and diagnostics can help identify and resolve the issue effectively.
By using a tool box open the location and remove it to replace it with a new one
First take a look if the ABS light is on, if yes, check your OVP relay.
How high is your idle? idle should be 800rpm good oil pressure is obtained at this idle
Could be a number of reasons. Visit www.mercedes190.co.uk
Idle is computer controlled and can NOT be adjusted.
I'm not sure I understand your question but check your accelerator cable for slippage or broken connection at the throttle. Next, check your fuel filter for blockage and change if needed. If it is "missing" it could be an electrical problem. Good luck!
not sure what model or series you refering too, but many times in Mercedes of that era, high idle is due to a dead Overload protection relay. It's is one or two ten amp fuses that you can get from any auto shop. Usually this solves the problem. If not, usually for that year there is a screw by the idle control valve that you can use to adjust the idle.
On a 1993 Mercedes 300E, the idle speed control sensor, also known as the idle air control (IAC) valve, is typically located on the intake manifold near the throttle body. It may also be found connected to the air intake system. To access it, you may need to remove some engine covers or components for better visibility. Always refer to a service manual for detailed guidance specific to your vehicle.

If the idle is erratic on a 1993 Honda Civic the IACV will need to be clean or replaced. The IACV controls the idle on the car and when it fails the car will not be able to maintain an idle.
I HAVE THE SAME VEHICLE AND HAD THE SAME PROBLEM... THERE IS A SERVICE BULLETIN FOR THE IDLE AIR CONTROL VALVE. THAT SOLVED MY INTERMITANT HIGH IDLE.
The idle speed is computer controlled on a LT1 engine. If it is a little high, try checking for vacuum leaks.
