The 2005 Saab 9-3 typically does not require a radio code for operation, as many vehicles of that era did not have a security feature that necessitates a code after a battery disconnect. However, if the radio has been replaced or if the battery has been disconnected, it might prompt for a code depending on the specific radio model. If you need the code, it's best to consult the owner's manual or contact a Saab dealership for assistance.
The car must be on for 1 hour. After 1 hour, the words, "code in" will appear. Enter your 4 digit code.
To enter the anti-theft code for a Saab 900, first turn the ignition key to the "On" position without starting the engine. Then, press and hold the "0" button on the radio until the display shows "Code." Enter the four-digit anti-theft code using the radio preset buttons, then press the "Enter" button or "OK" to confirm. If the code is entered correctly, the radio should unlock and begin functioning again.
The dealer, with your car title, can provide you with it. You are probably talking about the radio, in which case you're out of luck, because the code is in the car's manual, and the radio you're holding is obviously hot. It works.
It should be with the Owners Manual paperwork. If not, contact a Saab dealership with the car's VIN. ... When I lost use of my 1995 Saab 900SE convertible radio's function, the VIN was not enough...the dealer also needed (or insisted on anyway) the radio's serial number. So I had to pull the radio to write down it's SN before they would look it up, and charged me $25 to do it. I'm not sorry THAT dealer (or at least that service advisor) went out of business.
I would see your local Saab dealer.
If you can find a SAAB dealer take car there, after having found the serial number for the radio...they can look it up for you if you get the serial number of the radio. They do not have the info online for the public because the whole idea of this is to prevent thieves from being able to use the radio. When I needed the code for my 1995 900S turbo convertable the dealer would not give me the info over the phone even though I had the serial numbers...they insisted on seeing the car and getting the VIN, my guess is so they knew the radio really went with a car I had and wasn't stolen.
Hold down the "band" button until it prompts you for the security code again. If you have entered in the code incorrectly too many times in a row, you will have to wait for an hour and try again.
A radio code is a code to activate your radio.
same engine just a production variation code
Did your battery go dead? If it did the radio needs the code to be input at the 1-6 preset buttons. You will only get three chances. After that you will need to leave the ignition in the on position for one hour to reset it.
To acquire the code you will have to contact a BMW dealership and provide them with your vin# and the numbers off the sticker on the back of your radio. To enter the code use the number buttons.
