Spring leg stilts are devices that enhance a user's jumping ability and running speed by utilizing elastic springs. When a user steps down, the springs compress, storing potential energy. As the user lifts their foot, the stored energy is released, propelling them upward and forward. This mechanism allows for increased height and distance in each stride, mimicking the natural movement of a kangaroo or other spring-loaded animals.

There are very few resources, if any, describing how to build jumping stilts. The best way to do it (and the way I'm going to attempt, as well) is simply looking at pictures of jumping stilts built by Poweriser, etc, and creating the same thing out of parts from the local hardware store. The hardest part will be making the carbon fiber spring and giving it the proper strength for each weight group. Also, be sure to use good rivets/lock nuts/etc so the stilts don't break apart while jumping. Jumping stilts can also be purchased online at www.buyjumpingstilts.com or a number of other sites by googling "jumping stilts". Building them is cheaper, buying them is easier, and potentially safer. And, by the way, WEAR SAFETY EQUIPMENT!
