Given that 1 mile = 5,280 feet

And an 18 inch wheel =1.5 Ft (diameter)

Pi*1.5(ft) = 4.712389 ft circumference

meaning that a 1.5 ft wheel will travel about 4.7 ft per revolution.

5,280/4.7= ABOUT 1123.4 revolutions per mile
