The weights on a Powerhouse WM1501 typically range from 2.5 kg to 5 kg each, depending on the specific configuration and model. The total weight can vary based on the number of weights included and the setup chosen by the user. For precise specifications, it's best to refer to the manufacturer's documentation or product details.
According to the manual: 1st plate is 30 lbs and add 12 lbs for each additional plate for a max of 126 lbs.

A Powerhouse 1950 is an excellent bench. If it has the leg lift attachment you are in great shape. They have an adjustable incline bench that has excellent support. They last forever if they are not abused. If you can get one with the Universal Bar and some weights, I would say $150 - $175 for a well maintained used one is a great price. Without the weights probably $125'ish. The lack of weights won't take it down to much, but grab them if they have it, you can always use more steel. Good luck.

The best way to tell if your son is obese is to weigh him and compare his weight to average weights, which can be found on the Internet. Though weights vary, if your son is obese, his weight will be much higher than the average weights.
