Napoleon's heart beat is only 40 times a minute. He is a resident in a cold region. It is believed that people at polar regions are with a good physic to stress the cold climatic conditions so they are supposed to have a good functioning of blood thought their body.so in case of napoleon his body is of typically made from others his body is very stiff hence he is joined in army although he short in height.the body functions in a peculiar mode so that in common times it will give a heart beat rating of 40 beats per sec.his organs are with an efficient need of blood from the 40 pumps from the heart.so many stout people like him ...like jr.NTR in andhra had this type of functionality.

An average healthy person's Resting heart rate is in a range of 60 to 100 beats per minute(depending upon the age and fitness).So many factors affect the heart rate(hence I am not going to list every one of them here).
