From what I can tell, the P90X 'Yoga X' routine is an amalgamation of several types of yoga combined with some unique postures specifically developed for the P90x series.
Primarily, the 'Yoga X' routine seems to be based on Vinyasa Yoga.

Boy, this speaks the truth! I haven't sweated as much since I was 18 years old and in the US Navy boot camp! If you've done the P90x 'Yoga X', then you know what I mean about sweating! Boy, what an amazing workout.
P90X requires a large open area to do the workout in, either dumbbells or a tension band (use lighter weights with many reps to tone muscles and heavier weights with low reps to build muscle), and a chin up bar or tension band. There is also a yoga session, where the use of a yoga mat is recommended, but is not required.
for p90x, you will need a pull up bar, either a type of iron gym that can be purchased at your local wal-mart or the actual p90x pull up bar that can be purchased at beachbody.com, a yoga mat for stretching, yoga and ab ripper x workouts, you will also need dumbbells; i would really recommend adjustable dumbbells because it gets very costly to purchase so many regular dumbbells at heavy and light weights, and also if you cannot afford a pull up bar, you can replace it with resistance bands which can also be purchased at beachbody.com. but make sure they are very strong bands so that you will feel the same burn as a pull up.
yoga is basically an exercise or it can be meditation (relaxing). So I dont think yoga itself...but you might be looking for maybe more of a religious type thing tied into yoga?

Their is another type of exercise like yoga called Pilate's. It is more active and less spiritual than yoga. But it still has the same type of stretches.
You do not have to use Power 90 to use P90x. However if you feel P90x is too much, then you should try Power 90 and then return to P90x.
Yes, but it would be wise to do lifting on a different day as p90x or else you will over train your muscles. For example, MON-LIFT TUE-P90X WED-LIFT THU-P90X FRI-LIFT SAT-rest/P90X sun-rest/P90X. Remember, rest is just as important as the workout.
