How can you pursuade your strict parents to let you date in the seventh grade?

Hmm, just last year I was in 7th grade and going through this exact situation. Just spring the idea upon them gently. Let them know that you're interested in dating and act maturely about it. Show them you're responsible enough to handle it. Give the pros(and maybe even the cons) of experimenting with relationships at this age. Or you could suggest the "going together" dating system. This is a common thing at my school, when basically someone asks you out and it's known that you're together. You are considered boyfriend and girlfriend, but you don't go on actual dates alone. Mostly, you just hang out in the hallways, talk on the phone, email, etc. Some kids will even go places with their bf/gf but go with a group of friends. They don't actually do anything except hang out together. If you date people in this way in the 7th grade, it's a lot safer and more parent-friendly. This is still how I date guys, even going into the 8th grade at my middle school.
