definitely don't try to be if your not already naturally the dominant one. My girlfriend is and we've been together for a year and a month. It kills my ego. Some times I want to leave her because of it. Men like to feel like men. They don't want to date another man. Unless their a homosexual.

A: Ah...well..I guess my first question would be why would you want to be? If you are speaking about at home, there would be no need, since the man is the head of the home (if you are married) and is therefore to be the dominant one or leader, and you as his wife should submit to him. If you are speaking about a work situation where you are in authority over others, you don't need to be dominant, rather you need to walk in the authority you have been given and expect others under you to follow, as their continued employment depends on it. In other cases, you can try some assertiveness training, but usually an individual's personality dictates how dominant or submissive they will be.
