How do you know if the person you stayed with for 3 years is still in love with you even though he has a girlfriend?

Be upfront become their friend let them know they can trust you and rhen just ask. PPL CAN LOVE EACH OTHER THEIR WHOLE LIVES. HE MAY STILL LOVE YOU. BUT HE MAY BE 'IN LOVE' WITH HIS GF. 3YRS LEADS TO CLOSENESS AND CARING(WHICH CAN LAST A LIFETIME) BUT HE HAS A GF TRY NOT TO HURT HER SHES DONE MOTHING WRONG. EVEN BY TALKING TO HIM U COULD RUIN THEIR RELATIONSHIP BE CAREFUL. HE MAY NOT WANT TO TAKE THE RISK CAN U HANDLE BEING TOLD HE LOVES YOU BUT NOT IN THE WAY HE LOVES HER NOW? CAN U REALLY COPE WITH HEARING THE WORDS "I LOVE HER AND DONT WANT YOU?" IF NOT STAY THE HELL AWAY

If he loved you he would have made an effort to win you back. Now he has a girlfriend so it's time to move on with your own life. I know it hurts, but you both split up for a good reason, so learn from the experience and get on with your life. People make mistakes in their lives and hopefully we learn from our past mistakes. Trying to get him back will take your dignity away and possibly anger him. Leave well enough alone. If you are meant to be together you will be. I completely agree with the answer above. Let him go. It won't do any good going after him. He's trying to move on and so should you. You know he still loves you- because it's in you... I left several- I wouldn't go back. I remember very vividly why I left- which I'll spare the general public hearing... But, it was with good reason. I know they still love me- because I'm certain I can call at anytime day or nite- and they will be there to answer my call & do whatever I might want or need. I know they still love me- because even now- after leaving the first one 15 years ago- whenever he's in town- he always ASKS about me. How am I doing- oh, and did I marry? 10 years ago- the next one still EMAILS me!!! lol. I know they still love me & deeply regret their mistakes- but, they hurt me too much to go back. I didn't say I stopped loving them- I just stopped TELLING them when I left. Why give them that satisfaction... Yes, I never quit loving any of them- that's what love does- it's little pieces of your heart you leave behind. Nobody can truthfully say they don't care about their x's- it's just not the same 'love' you had before. I despise a few- but, that piece of my heart was left there... I know it- but, it's my personal regret I put it there. My x's would never deny my offering (if it happened) to have sex if I offered- that's not love- it's human nature. Don't get those confused. Love: will the x come over at 4am and change your flat tire- no questions asked- other than 'where do you live now?' will he meet you for dinner & a movie- even though he's got a girl? will they come do yard work for you (i.e. any manual labor) even though you know they despised it when you were dating? If they accept any opportunity to share time with you- no matter the grumpy, grungy task- then you KNOW they are in love too... RUN!!!! lol.

if you still have fun together if he still looks at you like your his angel when he looks at you an you feel loved and safe if he gets jeluose if he still holds your hand if he still kisses you like he means it if he looks forword 2 seeing after work first thing

if he tells you he loves you and you feel it its the little things that matter the most !!!!!
