If this individual takes no part in raising the children; yells and screams for you to control them if they make too much noise or the two year old cries; beats the older children with a belt or other object; slaps them across the face; pushes or punches then this is physical abuse and not acceptable behavior. If this is the case you need to take yourself and your children out of this environment by getting rid of this verbally abusive partner.
