The best way to tell your parents you want to quit the cadets is to cit them down and explain what is going on. Many parents will understand completely.
Don't just tell them that you want to quit air cadets, tell them what you want to do instead, whatever that may be. What I really want to do is (insert here). It is better to have a positive goal in life than it is to just try to avoid things you don't like. Your parents will respect your wishes more, if they think that you are trying to accomplish something, rather than just trying to get out of things and to avoid facing the problems of the real world.
If you are abused then seek help. Otherwise quit whinning and mind your parents.

Sit your parents down somewhere privately and calmly state your reasons why. Are you not enjoying it? Do you like being independent? Is it not for you? Tell them in a calm manner. Yelling and screaming won't help you. And don't do it when they're stressed, like if they just got home. Remember, be calm, and don't feel intimidated. After all, it's your life, and your decision. I would know. I'm quitting too, and this method worked for me.
