How is true communication essential in a relationship?

What is communication? On the internet we text to each other. On the phone we talk to each other. And, if we are in a relationship, we not only talk to each other, but we look at each other and watch each other's facial expression. In addition we use sensual means, perfumes, make-up and physical characteristics as means of attraction. Everything about us communicates something! Still, in the end, what is all that communication bit good for? It lets us know more about the other person. It is exactly this kind of communicating that lets us know about our partner, what he/she thinks, feels and decides. It allows us to grow together, to become more alike, for alikeness is the ultimate goal of any relationship. Don't think that you will not have your own ideas. But you will also have learned about your partner's ideas. For only as long as we can exchange ideas, as long as we communicate, can a relationship flourish. You have to talk to your partner, maybe not about everything, but without communication there is no point in a relationship, Now if your partner doesnt talk to you in public or anywhere then there's a problem and you should fix it by talking ot him/her. Good Luck!

Oral communication means spoken communication, so it would include not only face-to-face speaking but also communication by telephone. Listening to someone speak on film could also be considered oral communication, but it is less personal since the person is not speaking directly to you. Oral communication is very important right from the beginning of life; the mother must speak to her baby in order for the baby to develop normally, especially in language. When you speak with another person, much of the content of the communication is in the sound of the voice, conveying whether the intention is to joke or be serious, to be kind or cruel--these shades of intention may be missing from or ambiguous in an email or text message. Emoticons are hardly sufficient to impart the subtleties of feeling. When a lover whispers to his beloved, a mother coos to her infant, two friends giggle together, a teacher praises a student, a 911 operator gives first-aid instructions over the phone, a criminal threatens a victim, or a spiritual teacher transmits a secret instruction--all these are interactions that have a unique effect because of the use of oral communication.

when you love someone, I think you should fully trust them, and if you can't then something should change. Comunication is VERRY important! Because alot of times people will just assume what the other wants or needs instead of talking to them about it
