No same-sex couples have legally married in Converse County. On June 25, 2014, the United States Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit struck down Utah's statewide ban on same-sex marriage. That decision is legally binding on Wyoming too. No same-sex couples were able to marry in Wyoming because the 10th Circuit's decision was stayed pending the outcome of an appeal made to the Supreme Court of the United States. Experts expect that the issue of whether same-sex couples can legally marry in Wyoming will be decided by that court by the end of June 2015.
