There are no set legal limits on how many times a parent can spank a child in the United States.
First, you start with a time out. Then, after the time out, you say "If you do this again, you are going to get a spanking." If he or she does whatever he or she was doing, then you go into the bathroom and then spank him or her however many times you feel.
when they draw pus on the wall
I believe three spanks is enough in one setting.
That should have no effect.
Many times, a child can pick which parent they want to live with around the age of 14. It will depend upon both parents and if the judge doesn't think they should move.
This is a most absurd question! Are you her child? And even with a child there are many questions about spanking. Get it together! If you are an adult, is there anything more demeaning than to be treated as a child?
You CAN be reported to Child protective services.
Miss O'Hara gets spanked in The Quietman and McLintock.
Physical diciplin is abusive so 1 is too many. Think of other forms of punishment such as an extra chore or the simple but effective taking things away. Young kinds follow those well
Generally, no. You need to check your custody agreement and state law. Many states allow the parent with physical custody to claim the child as a dependent.Generally, no. Yes. Many states require that the custodial parent petition the court and the judge can determine if it is in the child's best interest to relocate the child out of state.
The word 'caning' is what gives 'spanking' a bad name. To hit a child with anything, but your hand is abuse. Many people are against spanking, yet parents are beginning to realize that controlled spankings (across the knee and a good flat hand on their backside) can often shorten the discipline time and get the entire household back into reasonable order. Children who continuously are into trouble; having tantrums; hitting; slapping or kicking may well have something wrong with them and a parent should take them to their doctor and discuss the matter. A child could have ADD/AHD to many other problems and the parent may well be unaware of it. If the child passes the physical then it is time to seek help from a child psychologist. Other reasons could be that parents have divorced and this is devastating to a child and they often blame themselves. Another reason is when the child starts school and doesn't feel they fit in or may be bullied. Also if there is a parent that is an alcoholic in the family it can cause a child to act out or, physical or sexual abuse by someone in the family (generally a man) can also be a reason. Before a parent decides to spank any child they should first be calm and sit the child down and if they are old enough ask them what is making them behave this way. Suggest some of the above information to them from starting school; divorce; etc. Let the child get their feelings out and if parents are always yelling; not giving their children time to explain (children do not often know why they are acting out) then they are doing their child an injustice. Children should feel they can come to a parent or parents with confidence and that the parent or parents are there to help them through some difficult times. Fear generated from a parent is not the answer as it isolates parent and child.
