Well first thing is first, just because your ex is cheating with YOU, does not mean that he is necessarily unhappy with being IN a relationship with the other woman. Chances are that your ex boyfriend has the best of both worlds:
He has the comfort of being with someone he is used to(you), and also being with someone "new" (current girlfriend). Perhaps he is waiting for things to get better between his new love and himself, and in the mean time biding his time with you.
