I know several couples that have gone through this experience, Infidelity if it happens and it happens far more often then you think, should be accepted as a fact of life and simply stored away in the back of the mind as is done with everything we do and see. Forgiving if that is the term required depends on the individual. After all if the partner does not pick up an STD there is really no practical difference to the aggrieved party.
