It is perfectly normal for a boy/girl to wonder if they are homosexual at any age, but at 10 years of age, it should have no impact whatsoever, as at 10 the child would have no sexual feelings or anything like that. So, no, its not exceptionally normal for him to be wondering if he is gay or not, but at 10 years of age he wouldn't know anything about sexual desires yet.

∙ 11y agoMost males, probably all of them have some experience with another male at some point growing up. It's easier to experiment with another guy when figuring out how things work. Will he be straight or gay only time will tell. However he turns out is the way he is meant to be and it shouldn't be worried about.
