Very, very few women (in the Western world) will date shorter men either because they are either insecure or find short men to be weak and fragile, or "less manly" in their view. One could argue this goes back to the cavemen days when the biggest, strongest men meant the best protectors, and that could be still instilled in women today.
In North America, if you're under 6 feet tall, most women will think less of you and find you less desirable as a potential partner. Often times, this even includes short women, under 5'4".
