Yes Teasing can be abusive, if it is severe enough to cause hurt feelings or if someone teases you in public to humiliate you than that is abuse of a verbal nature. The person that does this is a abuser and is insecure about their self to discredit you.... just think of it this way your terrific and they can't stand it.

The right type of teasing is light and fun and not hurtful in anyway...
