What are the advantages and disadvantages of housewife?

How can she be a working housewife. If the women works outside the home just as the man does, then the house chores are split, not the sole responsibility of the women. Even if the didnt work outside the house, she should not only expect help from the man, the MAN should want to pitch in, too. Cant have it both ways.

To work in the home or outside the home should give you a feeling of accomplishment. Just because a housewife doesnt get a physical paycheck doesnt mean she isn't earning for the family, she is saving. She is a doctor, cleaner, accountant, cab driver, shopper, cook, etc, for all the other activities she does, now if you had to pay for all that wouldn't a family be broke.

To work outside the home is just as satisfying, your are earning your keep so to speak and making sure that all the necessities are provided, just as above, through monetary units, though.

Each of the situations should be commended.

This is one of those complicated questions because the advantages and disadvantages are subjective to a person's values and beliefs. But I can list the advantages and disadvantages I perceive.

Some of the advantages of a working house-wife is there is a second income, and because both partners are bringing in money there can be a sense of equal power.

The disadvantages of a working house-wife is the theory of "the second shift" in women's studies. Women are the perceived caregivers of family and home, so they are expected to take this second shift after a full days work.

One disadvantage of working women is that a working woman may not be able to spend as much time with her children as she may like. However, being a working mother also has its advantages. For example, an extra paycheck and financial stability are definite pro's.

The advantages are:

- Housewife can take care of herself, so become more attractive to her husband when he comes back from work at the end of the day.

- Housewife will find more time to raise her children and spend more time with them. That's cool for both of them.

- Housewife's house more cleaner and well organized more than others houses.

To be a housewife, it doesn't mean that you can't go outside, but it means that you don't required to work.

In my culture, woman (daughter, wife, mother, sister, etc) don't required to work because the law force her close man in family to pay for her. So they are the queens always. ^_^
