We have total communications on board our ships. We have three satellite systems (one for weather, one for company business and one for personal usage). We use FM and AM radio transceivers.

We use FM when talking between company ships in the same area and we can scramble all comunications between the ship and the company or another company ship. We also use FM to communicate with other ships and with the Pilots boats. We have complete FAX services both for weather charts and for normal business.

Most crew members have satalite phone to speak with their families and, of course, we are internet connected at all time for both business and personal usage.

Good question, thanks.

What is shipboard organization?

Shipboard organization refers to the structured arrangement of personnel, roles, and responsibilities on a vessel to ensure its efficient operation and safety. It typically includes a hierarchy with key positions such as the captain, officers, and crew members, each assigned specific duties ranging from navigation and engineering to safety and maintenance. This organization is crucial for effective communication, decision-making, and the overall management of ship operations, especially during emergencies. Proper shipboard organization enhances teamwork and helps maintain compliance with maritime regulations.
