What do you say when someone asks you for a raise?

Put together your accomplishments in writing. Be able to demonstrate what you've contributed to the company and what your potential is worth. Also, check out salary.com to find comparable salaries in your area showing what you're asking for is fair.

Find a job as a back up first before even ask. If your boss like u, he/she will top it. If you receive no counter offer, you are getting a fair share of compensation in his/her opinion. Or he/she is trying to force you out by not giving raises, so you will look for another job.

If they work hard... and you think that they deserve it give it to them.... But first ask them why they need a raise... If the answer seems legit then give them the raise.
