Great question although a little vague.

Marriage is supposed to represent Christ's union with the church. It is not a sacrament because there are only 2 sacraments: Communion and Baptism.

I'll start things off by re-stating what Paul tells us about marriage. The man is to love the woman as Christ loves the church. The man is to be the highest authority in the home and the woman is to submit to his authority as the church does to Jesus. That is why women need to marry well to be guided by a wise and loving husband. However, if she has not, she is still obligated to obey the husband because she is not obeying him but God.

My favorite biblical example of a woman marrried to a fool was Abigail.

My favorite extra-biblical example of a woman married to a hard and non-believing man was Monica, St. Augustine's mom. Read Augustine's confessions about Monica's importance in his life and her shining example of being a wife and mother.
