What to do with annoying sister-in-law?

A sister-in-law can be a handful, particularly if she is insecure, if you are successful, and/or if she feels that her family has embraced you more than it ever has her. The more she resents you, the more miserable she will make every moment that she is around you.

If whatever attempts you have made to build or repair the relationship have bore no fruit, and if your significant other can offer no insight, you have no choice but to marginalize your sister-in-law and cut her out of your life as much as possible.

She will inevitably spend time with your significant other from time to time, but the idea is to expose yourself to her unpleasantness as little as possible. Granted, this may be particularly challenging during the holidays, but the less time you spend with her, the better able you will be to tolerate her when she is around. In short, avoidance is the key to sanity.

try to ignore her quips to the best of your ability. but if she's so infuriating that this can't be accomplished, ask permission to speak candidly and proceed to speak to her like she's not your sister-in-law, if you know what i mean. even if it turns into a big fight, it's better than bottling up your feelings and letting them make you resent your husband for his stupid sister

Well, there are many ways to deal with such a nasty woman. in my experience, i have done many things from making friends, to decapitation, to staging a suicide... hope this helps
