Why do married men cheat on their wives?

I can't think of any acceptable situation for someone to cheat on their spouse. "Too eager and forward" Huh? It is irrelevant if the woman was totally naked and climbing all over him. He had a choice and apparently he made it.

The same reason any other man would cheat on his spouse or girlfriend--sexual excitement, emotional stimulation from another woman, to fill a void in their lives.

It really doesn't matter why, it matters if you want to try to save your marriage and get marital counseling, or divorce your husband. I will say that if he has already cheated early on in your marriage, their are obvious problems with the relationship.

I'm sick of this "void" in a person's life reasoning. A man would sexually cheat because sex is one of the greatest pleasures of life. Yes, Virginia, the reason could be because it actually feels great.

It's like asking, why would a man want a great massage?

The question is really why he can't control himself.

I'm trying to figure this one out. I think when a guy does this he really did not want to get married in the first place. I know someone who said he cheated on his wife during the courtship, engagement and now the very new marriage. This person should wake up and realize that his wife may eventually find out.

Because he is an idiot!!!!!!! Um, okay perhaps he is, but, NO!!! (to the answer above) How about considering a few other factors? # He is unhappy in the relationship

# He doesn't love his fiancee

# He doesn't want to get married to his fiancee

# Her ultimatim got her the ring, but didn't get her his heart or his other parts

# He is taking an easy out to get out

# Who is he cheating with?

A) If it's random woman, one time fling, then it's possible it was only sex

B) If it's a consistant pattern of one time flings, then it's a real bad problem.

C) If it's a long term affair with one woman, then it's a death null for the

fiancee. There is an emotional and physical connection he is not willing

to terminate & that's a losing battle for the fiancee.

D) If it is "C" above AND with an ex-girlfriend, that's even worse.

E) If it's with one of the fiancee's friends &/or more of her friends, then

POW! right in the kisser knockdown of the fiancee - double betrayal for

the fiancee and double lack of respect of the fiancee - RUN, RUN, RUN.

# He can because he knows she won't do anything about it, and that makes him a jerk all around, but her an idiot for staying with him!!!!

# She's Bridezilla and he's seen the light.

JUST TO NAME A FEW

There are many reasons and none are warm and fuzzy for the fiancee. Sorry.

I could go on and on, but this gives you some idea and it goes for women cheating on men as well.

Of course not all married men cheat on their wives, they remain loyal for as long as the marriage lasts. Some however feel that their freedom has suddenly been taken away from them, finding it hard to be loyal to one woman. They may ask themselves "I wonder if I have still got it" and are unfaithful to their wife's just to prove that they have. Once satisfied that they are still capable of attracting women most are quite happy to remain loyal to their wives. However the bug does bite deep with some men and they are continually being unfaithful to their wives. Some may argue that it is a man's thing, but it is just out and out adultery with no shame attached to it.
