I will just add to this that they are simply allowing themselves to rest their minds. It is called "daydreaming," and it is a soothing thing that they enjoy. Many new inventions were made by daydreamers. We should always allow ourselves and others to indulge in daydreaming. Writers are especially known to daydream.
