Why do teens disobey their parents?

This is what teenagers do. It is all about pushing the boundaries to see how far they can get. The more they push the more they get, in their eyes. Parenting of teenagers is not an easy job if they have let their kids keep pushing. Tough love is what is called for and re-establishing who is in charge.

Sometimes it's because teenagers will think they know better than their parents. Sometimes, though, they just feel the need to be rebellious. Or it could even be because they aren't fond of one or both or their parents, although usually this is only the case when the teen feels that they have been wronged by one or both of their parents, or if one of their parents is, well, not such a good person. Or if they feel that one of/both of their parents either hate them, or just are mean to them.

teenagers start to rebe against authority because at that age they feel that now that their older they shoud do whatever they want but i think that the other reason they think that is what friends tell them and that's why i personay think its a good thing if you start to be wach ful of the infuences a kids friend coud give off as a very very very bad thing because of some bad consiquences that could be brought as for the thought that they think that their ready when their absoutiy not can be very dangerouse so i think that's why most teenagers shoudnt have too manny or anny strange friends and thoud hang with more trully responsibe kids that are respectful to others are more in to mental arts like painting are helpfull and good reputationed get to meet the parents to see the kund of backrounds their around and keep a ginourmouse eye for any thing fishy about their behaviour and your child's safety and be around and aware when the friend is around just incase you fell anything strange is goin on and come in the activity area to check every so often

They need to try their wings on their own. At 15 for instance they are more adults then kids emotionally and mature wise. Imagine yourself living with your parents as an adult and being told what to do and when to eat etc.
