Lennie did not understand his own strength and the consequences of his actions. He did not intend to harm the girl when he touched her hair, but his lack of awareness of his own strength led to a tragic accident.
In "Of Mice and Men," Lennie accidentally frightened and grabbed a woman's dress in Weed when he was trying to feel its soft texture, causing her to panic and accuse him of assault. This incident led to Lennie and George having to flee from Weed to avoid trouble.
if touched hurt or thretined
Lennie loves to pet soft things, such as mice and in this case a dress. He sees a girl with a red dress and because he likes it he reaches out to feel the dress. However, the girl becomes distressed and begins to scream. This in turn distresses Lennie and he "gets all mixed up" and he holds on because that is all that he can think to do. But the girl continues screaming and by this time Lennie is extremely scared so all he thinks to do is hold on. He is extremely strong and when George comes after hearing the girl from a distance he has to hit him over the head with a picket fence to make him let go. Upon Lennie letting go, the girl reports Lennie and says that she was raped. So people in Weed start a party to kill Lennie. Lennie didn't actually hurt the girl but he did scare her.
Not unless fire touches a lot of you- but it will hurt.
you will burn and burn and it will hurt alot
Katie Bell was the person who touched the cursed necklace.
NO, not at all. Men are like that. What is wrong is when you actually touch her. do NOT touch another girl, your relationship would be over. _________________________________________________________________________ Would you like it if your wife touched other men? It is wrong to willfully hurt another person just to satisfy your lust.
Sensitivity.
While they were working in Weed, Lennie saw a girl wearing a pretty red dress. Focused on the dress's beauty, he reached out to touch it, and the girl screamed. Lennie panicked, and holding on even tighter, would not let go. George had to "(sock) him over the head with a fence picket to make him let go" before he would release the dress. The girls eventually reported the incident as an attempted rape, and "the guys in Weed start(ed) a party out to lynch Lennie". George took Lennie to hide in an irrigation ditch, and when darkness fell, they fled the vicinity. Lennie did not actually hurt the girl, but, being big and strong, he scared her badly. As Slim observed, "(Lennie) ain't mean", and George agreed, explaining, "(Lennie) jus' wanted to touch that red dress like he wants to pet them pups all the time".
Better get tested!
Scabs hurt when touched or picked at because they are protecting a wound and the nerve endings underneath. When the scab is disturbed, it can cause pain and delay the healing process.
Because Curley feels self-concious about his height and his wife so he wanted to pick a fight with someone who was very big (which made him look powerful) but was also a bit stupid and would more than likely be obedient to being hit by the boss's son. So he obviously chose Lennie, but George wanted to protect Lennie without getting in the fight and he could see that Lennie was being more emotionally hurt than physically hurt by Curley because Lennie couldn't understand why he was picking a fight with him so George insisted that Lennie fought back. So when Lennie did fight back (he obviously doesn't know his own strength) fought back, but by accident he crushed Curley's hand in the process.
