Jane Eyre's love was undoubtedly Mr. Rochester. Though she considered marriage to St.John, she did not truly love him, but instead respected him and his devotion to his faith. But it Mr. Rochester whom she loved, and married and lived as happily ever after as the imagination of Charlotte Bronte would have allowed.
St. John chooses to marry Jane, even though he does not really love her, because he believes she can fulfill the duties he needs his wife to fulfill as he embarks on his journey to India as a missionary. he believes she is pure of heart and that his true love, Rosamond Oliver is too vain and could not ever be the woman he is in need of.
pride and prejudice The Pillars of the Earth
Jane Eyre is the main character of the book of the same name by Charlotte Bronte published in 1847. The book Jane Eyre is basically telling you to be true to your decisions and something good will always come out of it. Charlotte Bronte died at age 38 and published her books under pseudonyms.
Jane Eyre is a unusual character because she is a very unattractive girl but yet so smart and intelligent. She has a very hard work ethic as she tries to complete all her tasks as efficient as possible. Jane is a very troubled person because she has always made kind gestures in her tormenting childhood but she has never been appreciated. Later she meets a young noble gallant gentlemen Rochester. They live happily ever after.
Fire and Ice. It is found throughout the book. Mr. Rochester/ fire (is passion/love/desire...all she has ever craved) while St. John/ ice (is cold and hard like a rock...he offers Jane a life of duty and missionary work in the name of God)

No she did not
she is a very good woman author . . . very famous. . . she wrote the novel Jane Eyre which is based on her life. . . lol . . . thanks for reading this. . . Charlotte Bronte may have been the author of the romantic classic Jane Eyre, but she was not well served by love herself. In fact, it more or less killed her. In June of 1854, a starry-eyed Bronte married her father's curate and soon became pregnant. During her pregnancy, she fell ill, and according to her earliest biographer, Elizabeth Gaskell, she was attacked by "sensations of perpetual nausea and ever-recurring faintness." The elder Bronte sister's nausea was so overwhelming, in fact, that the author couldn't eat or even smell food without becoming violently ill. On March 31, 1855, a dehydrated, malnourished and severely exhausted Charlotte Bronte died at the age of 38.
