Macbeth changed 'dramatically' over his time, His wife wasen't much of a help as she always put thoughts into his head.

upon receiving word that King Duncan of Scotland will be arriving that night, begins sharpening her talons. She isn't sure there's enough manhood to go around between herself and her husband, so she calls upon scheming spirits to "unsex me here." This is her vivid way of asking to be stripped of feminine weakness and invested with masculine resolve. She imagines herself as a vessel which may be emptied out and refilled "from the crown to the toe." One thing nobody, spirit or otherwise, has ever poured into her is "the milk of human kindness" That is when Macbeth starts to question her as to say, " What if we shall fail?" Lady Macbeth returns to reply "FAIL, we shall not Fail!" The thoughts pounder more and more into macbeths head and the question is asked " IS MACBETH REALLY TO BLAME FOR HIS CHANGE IN PERSINALITY?"

However, as Macbeth's ambition grows and he becomes more paranoid about securing his power, he views Banquo as a threat due to the witches' prophecy that Banquo's descendants will inherit the throne. This leads to Macbeth ordering Banquo's murder in an attempt to eliminate any potential challenges to his rule.
