In "To Kill a Mockingbird", Dill has a less solid family structure than Jem and Scout, despite being from a two parent household. His parents don't take his rearing at anywhere near the serious level Atticus takes his parental responsibility. He spends time during the summer with his aunt, who is a neighbor to the Finches.
Dill lies about his family to make himself seem more interesting and to cover up the fact that he feels neglected and unloved by his own family. He creates stories to make himself feel like he belongs and to gain attention and validation from others.
You can keep your zebra finch together with other birds as long as they aren't too much bigger than them. Anything far larger than them will bully them and attack them. They seem to be okay with other pet finch species and canaries. I wouldn't keep them with budgies though. They will get aggressive towards your finch.
Dolphus makes fun of Dill for being a crybaby that pees himself.
The children were fascinated with the Radley house because the rumors surrounding it made it seem mysterious and scary. The first dare they made concerning the house was to get Boo Radley, who was rumored to be a recluse and possibly dangerous, to come out of his house.
Dill explains this loss by stating that Jem lost his pants playing strip poker. Atticus and Ms. Stephanie did seem suspicious of his reply.
The Cowbird never has its own nest - it uses the finch nest as its host (read: parasite.) The Cowbird egg will hatch first & will push the other eggs or baby finches out of the nest. Other species of birds will get rid of the Cowbird eggs, but finches don't seem to. I always remove them when found.
because children are extra
Dolphus Raymond understands that Dill is crying because Mr. Gilmer is being so condescending to Tom. While Dolphus does all he can to comfort Dill, he tells Dill that he (Dill) had better get used to it, because this is the way that whites treat blacks (and white who chose to associate with blacks). Dolphus doesn't have the optimistic outlook that Atticus and Miss Maudie seem to possess--that life and society can get better if people just learn that blacks are humans with feelings and rights just like whites.

They seem to be normal , friendly , outgoing kids.
There does not seem to be any statistical difference between children of gay people and children of straight people. However, there does seem to be a pattern of gay couples being more likely to adopt hard-to-place children.
You seem to be under the impression that it is illegal to have guns and children. It is not.
