He tries to stab Scout but her ham costume saves her. He takes Jem and breaks his arm. Then Boo Radley comes and saves them by pulling Bob Ewell off them and takes Jem to Atticus.
Jem wants to be a lawyer when he grows up so that he can work for justice and fight against prejudice in society, like his father.
