Depends where you are in the USA. Refrigerator and fridge are used over a wide area. Ice-box is mostly in California and maybe New York. Most TV and films once came from California and were made by Jewish companies so generations of Australians thought that the Californian (and New York) Jewish US dialect was "American". In fact American English varies widely state by state.
