What are Lysander's character traits in A Midsummer Night's Dream?

One of the great things about Shakespeare's plays is that there is very little clue to costuming, which allows a costumer scope to exercise his or her imagination. In this play, we do have Oberon's line, "Thou shalt know the man by the Athenian garments he hath on." Some directors would take this to mean that Lysander (and by extension the other young lovers) ought to dress in a manner shown in ancient Greek statues. But it is not necessary to take such a literal approach to "Athenian garments"--this is an imaginary Athens where the tradesmen have names like Bottom and Flute and Germanic fairies are flitting about in a forest filled with very un-Greek plants. Since it is a place of the imagination, you can imagine any costume you like.
