In a particular movie adaptation:
The entire ship goes over a waterfall and into Charbydis mouth. Odysseus is able to escape by hanging onto a branch, and waiting until Charbydis expunges the water with some of the wreckage of the craft. He ends up adrift until Calypso finds him.
The blind prophet that Odysseus meets in the Underworld is Tiresias.
Odysseus is greated by a shepherd, which turns out to be Athena in disguise.
When Odysseus wakes up on the shore of Ithaca, he meets Athena. He does not know it is Athena, though, because she is disguised.
