Scout and Jem are attacked by Bob Ewell outside the school's Halloween pageant. Boo Radley intervenes and saves them by killing Bob Ewell in self-defense. The incident further reveals the true nature of Boo Radley and leads to Scout gaining a deeper understanding of empathy and compassion.

Scout finds a blanket draped around her shoulders the morning after the fire. She didn't notice it before, leading her to suspect that Boo Radley placed it on her while she was standing outside.

Many, if not most, troops these days record advancement information outside of the Scout Handbook. Boo comes and places a blanket around Scout while standing there outside watching Mrs. Maudie's house burn down. This happens in Chapter eight. The characters don't realize what happened when it does, and only come to fond out later when Atticus asks about it

In Chapter 8 of "To Kill a Mockingbird," Scout is wearing overalls with a dress. Atticus explains that someone must have dressed her in the dark, but Jem later confesses that Boo Radley had covered Scout with a blanket while she was standing outside the Radley house fire. Atticus appreciates Boo's kindness despite his reclusive nature.
Boo Radley gave the blanket to Scout when Ms. Maudie's house caught on fire.
