Romeo and Juliet were not real people. There is no such thing as "the time of Romeo and Juliet" since they were not really alive. Shakespeare did not specify any particular time in which the play is set, so it is the director's call when to set it. In the 1996 movie directed by Baz Luhrman the director sets the play in 1996.

No, Shakespeare is not known ever to have travelled out of England, although he might possibly have done. His early life was in and around Stratford-on-Avon, most of his life writing and performing drama was in London. In any case, he didn't have to go to Italy to get the tale of Romeo and Juliet since it was readily available in England in Arthur Brooke's English poem Romeus and Juliet (which is exactly where Shakespeare did get it).
In Romeo and Juliet, as in real life, people show their love by changing their behaviour. Romeo learns to be patient with the taunts of Tybalt, and to be a comfort to Juliet when he is forced to leave her. Juliet becomes more adventurous and also more devious in order to protect her secret and try to have a life with Romeo.

Romeo is referenced as Juliet's lover once again when she tragically ends her life in Shakespeare's play "Romeo and Juliet." Juliet chooses to take her own life with Romeo's dagger after discovering him dead, demonstrating her eternal love and devotion to him.
There was miscommunication in "Romeo and Juliet" when Romeo didn't receive Friar Laurence's message explaining Juliet's plan to feign her death. This led to Romeo believing Juliet was truly dead and ultimately taking his own life. Juliet waking to find Romeo dead then led to her taking her own life as well, highlighting the tragic consequences of miscommunication.
He dreams that he died, and Juliet kissed him and he came back to life.
