christopher paolini is currently writing the 4th book of Inheritance. he mentions that it will have a green dragon on the front cover and the title will be something that eragon inherits. there are no dates for when it will be released yet.

As of now, Christopher Paolini has only published three books in the Inheritance Cycle series: Eragon, Eldest, and Brisingr. There has been no official announcement or release of a fourth Eragon book.

Nobody knows. Contact the publisher The Inheritence Trilogy is now becoming a Cycle. The third book was published in September of 2008 and the fourth book release date is unannounced. Hopefully it will be out sometime around...2010 or 2011.
