The DeFeo family was tragically murdered on November 13, 1974. the 6 member family was shot by the oldest son Ronnie DeFeo Jr. or so he was suspected. the father of the family was accused of abusing his wife and family. Ronnie Jr. claimed to be in his living room on the night of the murders and watching a movie. he fell asleep and when he awoke, a woman in a large coat and black hands (gloves) was handing him a gun. this "demon" was said to be his sister, Don DeFeo. many suggest he did not commit the murder alone. in an interview Ronnie said he commited the murder. Not murders just murder. the gun he commited the murders with should have been able to be heard 5 blocks away. no one heard a sound. the next door neighbor only woke up to the DeFeo family's dog wimpering and barking. the bodies had an autopsy done and it appeared that none attempted to get away or escape. no drugs were found in their systems. when the DeFeo victims were being carried out, one of the children fell of the stretcher and a neighbor saw one of the children. they also had a cat that Ronnie called pig that would climb into the window in the top bedroom and stare into the room with red eyes. not even a year after the DeFeo occurance the Lutz family moved in. their daughter claimed to see a pig named Jodie. it had red eyes that would stare into her bedroom. in interviews, the lutz couple had pictures of slime, dead swarms of house flies, and black toilets. in one picture from an interview you can clearly see the oldest Lutz son lingering near the staircase. George Lutz said he woke up at 3:15 A.M. on a daily basis. george could never get warm in the house and was constantly outside chopping wood and building fires. his wife Kathy Lutz looked in the mirror and saw an old woman. she died of emphysema in 2004, she appeared to be 30 years older. George Lutz died of Heart disease in 2006. on the 28th day of living in the house on 112 ocean avenue, they left and never looked back. in interviews George refused to step foot on the property. apparantly, there was an indian cheif that was buried on the land. in the movies, the spirits whisper "GET OUT!" the voices are believed to be the indian cheif. a family currently lives on 112 Ocean Avenue in Suffolk County, New York.
