I think that Jar Jar Binks is hated because these geeks that say they are Star Wars aren't true fans. Jar Jar is hated because of his high-pitched voice and clumsiness. all the people out there that say he sucks because he was unintelligent and was tricked into giving the Empire power are just plain idiots. If Jar Jar wasn't so stupid, he wouldn't of been tricked, causing no power to Empire, then no uprising with Order 66, ergo no sequels. Jar Jar literally makes the other movies happen. and no, he is not a racist character. The person that acted as him is Achmed Best, and George Lucas himself said no ethnicity groups were targeted in the making of Jar Jar Binks. Boom.
Luke Skywalker

Yes. There are quite a few of us writing the answers, actually. Usually we don't answer questions in categories that we hate, so it is a good bet that the people answering Star Wars questions like Star Wars. :)
ummm...wy would he hate hes fans??????
You see, some people don't like Star Wars because they just aren't cultured enough to appreciate the true epicness of the series. Star Wars is an adventurous tale of good vs. evil, with maidens and heroes and what not, and some people can't see that - they see lightsabers and repulsorlift vehicles and think "Ahh, it's all geeky and such, and I just can't take that stuff!" Well, obviously they haven't examined Star Wars to its full extent. In all seriousness, Star Wars has many roots in ancient mythology, the Bible, and more recent history. And finding where that all fits in is just another one of the joys of Star Wars. Personally, I LOVE it because a. I grew up on it (my father saw "A New Hope" in the 70s) and b. it's beyond amazing. So next time someone says "Star Wars? Ugh, I hate that movie!" don't be upset with them, but instead take pity on them that they just can't enjoy such a fantastic piece of culture.
The Red Sox "FANS" hate the Yankee "FANS".

Depends on your point of view. If you like evil characters, then no. If you hate evil characters, then yes
