No one in their right mind will give you a credit card if you are a 17 year old. It is against the law for a minor to enter into a legal contract or agreement, such as a credit card agreement.that is true you have to be atleast 21 and you have to have some kind of job
you have to be 18 years old to get a credit card that's if you sign for he or her

Up to 17 or so
No! They're too young just yet!
your not 18, you can enter into a legally binding contract which is what a credit card entails because your a minor plus your parents are suppsoed to be financially responsible for you till your 18 and that means that they would be responsible for any bill you rack up on a credit card and credit companies don't really go for that, so the credit card is a no go. you can become an authorized user on your parents credit card but then you have to abide by the credit companies and your parents rules sorry kid :( -I'm 18, i looked into this when i was 17 too
no. you aren't a human being until you're 18 in the eyes of contracts/credit.
I was able to get a student credit card when I was 17 on my own, otherwise if you can have one of your parents co sign a credit card with you, that is assuming you have a job and will be able to pay it off. Only use it once a month for $20-$40 and pay it off each month. If you have a cell phone and pay the bill that goes on your credit also. you should talk to your bank and see what they have to offer I used to work for a bank and they do have student credit cards, checkcards and checking accounts that can help build credit.
Im 17 and have an Amex platinum, but this is only as an authorized user. SO the bill would still go to your parents. But in short, if your parents can get a cc, then you can become an authorized user.
