Training involves instilling information into a trainee as well as determining where that trainee stands in terms of skill and knowledge. The purpose of training is the beginning of a journey for the long-term.

Development is about using what the trainee learned through training and turning it into skills and expertise. Development is also a lifelong endeavor never stopping. To stop is fall backwards.
