Yes, the Wells Fargo reimbursement check scam involves fraudsters sending fake reimbursement checks to individuals, asking them to deposit the check and then send back a portion of the money. The checks are fake and victims end up losing money when the checks bounce.
I heard this from my University Professor, it would be true.
Well, honey, if you're looking for the contact person at Wells Fargo regarding foreclosures, I'd suggest calling their main customer service line and asking to speak with someone in their foreclosure department. They'll be able to point you in the right direction, but don't expect them to roll out the red carpet for you. Good luck, sweetie!
I have been banking with Wells Fargo for years, and have yet to experience any problems with them. Their Broadway branch in Denver has always been particularly responsive to my needs. I am often greeted with a smile, and am rarely disappointed with the performance of their staff. The employees at Wells Fargo are professional, efficient and polite. One of the advantages of banking with a big bank is that you tend to find their ATMs all over the country. Another advantage of banking with a large bank is that their services tend to be far more reliable. Usually, the drawback to choosing a larger bank is that you are less able to connect with the staff on a personal or professional level. This, however, has not at all been a problem for me with the Wells Fargo Broadway branch. The staff and I have slowly developed a bond, yet we remain professional at all times and make sure not to hold up the line. Moreover, every time I have had any problems with my account, the managers and staff have been more than helpful. Whether I have experienced an overdraft related issue, or have questions related to charges that have been billed to my account, a manager has always taken the time to go over everything with me, and carefully explain anything that I need to know. I often find banking terminology and concepts difficult to understand, and the staff at Wells Fargo have been very patient with me.I have been so pleased with the service I have been provided at Wells Fargo that I have convinced many of my family members and friends to switch from other banks. Thus far, I have not heard of any complaints from any of them. Moreover, I recently opened savings accounts for my children, and each of them is very excited to get the opportunity to act like an adult at the bank. Every time I have gone to the bank with my children, the tellers and other staff have been kind to my children. If a person is unhappy with his or her current bank, I would strongly suggest that they consider opening an account with this branch.
Yes, I am aware of the recent scam involving fraudulent check deposits from sugar daddies.
I've never heard of it but you can check the better business bureau.

Last year there was talk that Wells Fargo was looking into a Riba-Free (Interest Free) model on the West Coast. I have not heard anything bout it since then so I think they did not go forward. Also there is nothing on their web site about it. I do know many lenders based in other states ( I am in Illinois) have started reaching out to more and more states. Here in Illinois Iman Mortgage (imanmortgage.com) recently started offering Islamic Loans but I don't know of any of the big banks doing so yet.

A cashier's check has guaranteed funds... any bank, etc should cash it for you. I live in Colorado Springs and I have been to 5 banks and none will cash a Cashiers Check without an account. - - - Then something is amiss: "In the United States, under Article 3 of the Uniform Commercial Code, a cashier's check is effective as a note of the bank. Also, according to Regulation CC (Reg CC) of the Federal Reserve, cashier's checks are recognized as "guaranteed funds" and amounts under $5000 are not subject to deposit holds. The length of a hold varies (2 days to 2 weeks) depending on the bank. It is not clear what length of time may pass before a bank can be held responsible for accepting a bad cashier's check." I've never heard of a bank denying a cashier's check ... perhaps you are attempting to cash it at a failing institution, or the check is fraudulent???? The reason I requested a Cashiers Check was because I was under the same impression. If you would like three of the banks I went to were TCP, Academy and Wells Fargo. I Had to open an account at Wells Fargo to get it cashed. They were the only ones that were at least nice about it. - - - Intersting. Sorry to hear about your troubles. I've never run into that before.
