To stop auto debit from your bank account, you can contact your bank and request to cancel the automatic payment authorization for the specific merchant or service. You may need to provide written confirmation of your request to ensure the auto debit is stopped.
This is a scam to get your account information. They are part of checkconfirm.com and they debit your account for $.01. Once they realize your account is valid they will take it all. I suggest you go to your bank and fill out an affidavit for the charge.....close your account and open a new one. Once your account has been compromised you should not take a chance with them that it won't happen again!
cancel your account and transfer money to a different account with a different bank.. and send a letter to the old bank that notifies them to stop all automatic transactions..
A "no debit" status is simply a block placed on a bank account to stop all transactions where money would go out of the account. All future ATM transactions, attempted debit card transactions, recurring payments, checks, etc. will be blocked. In other words, money can go IN the account, but not OUT.A no debit status could be placed for several reasons... Suspected fraud, a mistake in a payment arrangement where more money is being debited than agreed upon, etc. Most banks require that you go in to your local branch to have the no debit status placed on your account, and also to have the status lifted.
Credit cards are more secure as there is a longer window to stop a transaction (because no money has left your bank account) if there is any fraudulent activity on your card.
This seems highly unlikely. I think only the IRS has the power to freeze a bank account.
Contact the company with your account and ask them what you need to do to stop this debit. Also I would let the merchant know as well. It is my understanding that the account owner is the one that needs to stop these transactions.

In the event that there is some problem with the check, such as insufficient funds, stop payment, etc., it will then be easier for the bank to debit your account if they have recorded your account number on the back of the check.

Once your debit is lost or stolen, you must notify your bank immediately so they can stop all transactions, then you go back to your bank where you will have to apply for a new card.
Call your bank that you have the account with.
Under the ACH rules which govern automated clearing house transactions there is no requirement to discontinue recurring transactions upon bankruptcy. In order to stop the recurring ACH payments, simply send a written notice to the organization that is debiting your account which states that you are revoking your authorization for them to debit your account. If they continue to debit your account, you can contact your bank and fill out a WSUPP (Written Statement Under Penalty of Perjury) form and your bank will reject any future payments from being debited from your account and refund to you any debits which ocurred after you revoked authorization to the organization debiting your account.
