Gold stock is typically a good long term investment but not a good short term investment. Price fluctations can vary to much for short term investments.
before investing in a stock, make sure that you are SURE you want to invest in this stock. never invest in a stock that you only have a "good feeling" about, make sure that you do a lot of research on the stock and have hard concrete evidence that this stock is reliable and strong. the stock market is a funny place, and the stock that's most acclaimed today could crash hard tomorrow. nobody knows what the market does, people can only guess ^^.
You should know the market price of gold for that day.

Get a stock quote on the price of gold and you should get about 25% of that.

Unless the cashier is a coin collector, probably not. They won't know whether the coin is really gold or a replica, and they won't know if it is legal tender, and likely will not accept it. It wouldn't be a good idea to spend gold on gas anyway, really. You could get much more than face value for an authentic $50 gold coin.
Any idea that is interesting to you is a good idea. What do you think of when you think about shapes? What do you believe kids should know about shapes?

A good place to take a free stock advice class is at a local financial firm that you know or looks like it is legitimate. You can also take one from a financial expert that you know.
It is more than "not a good idea." It would probably be fatal. We cannot answer the question for both legal and ethical reasons.
