TopSavings.Net Answer: My original answer was deleted for this and replaced by this SPAM below promoting the company. Are they a scam? Anyone who has said they are on here have had their opinions deleted leaving me to believe this company is more or less using unethical practices, at least within our WikiAnswers. You do not delete answers that correctly respond to a question, you however can ad your own answer in ADDITION to the other's. Unless it's SPAM or against the TOS, leave the Answers on this page alone or you will face a permanent ban. My answer to this question is to check with the local BBB where the company is located to find out if they have a large complaint file.
Sdresh, Supervisor - My observations on this - the complaints from contributors against this company (globalgoldcredit.com) are swiftly removed and replaced with scripts of favorable reviews. This is being done by several users and several other questions as well. This pertains to questions about First National Gold, First Plus Platinum, First Platinum. Owned by Global Gold Inc., 4894 W Lone Mountain Rd #128, Las Vegas, NV 89130, Phone 1-800-595-5110 and 702-360-0055 representing the following companies: First Plus Platinum, First World Platinum, Centennial One Platinum, AWBC Platinum, Global Gold Credit, First Platinum Continental. They represent themselves as credit service when in fact First National Gold is not a credit services organization, financial or banking institution. The account is a line of credit that can be used by an Account holder to purchase merchandise exclusively at the above mentioned companies. First National Gold CARDS ARE NOT MAJOR CREDIT CARDS SUCH AS VISA® OR MasterCard®, OR American Express®. THE COST OF MEMBERSHIP IN THE PROGRAM IS $39.95 PER MONTH. The accounts are issued with a starting credit limit between $5,000 to $10,000. The line of credit can only be used for purchases on the above mentioned companies websites. PROMOTIONAL OFFERS: As the Companies Offer Terms and Conditions and web site indicated, I accepted enrollment for up to 2 additional promotional product offers using the relevant data I entered for the First National Gold Offer. The following are the links to Terms of all our affiliated third party promotional offers: Grant Connect, Vcomm300, VCommUnlimited, SmartHealth Gold, Premier Plus Member.
I am working to restore answers, merge questions and I will further investigate this. You can either leave a message in the discussion area below or send me a message..
This is an answer that is replacing the complaints:Global Gold offers a $7500 Line Of Credit to be used on their shopping site, much like a sears card, etc. When you sign up you pay a $2.78 processing fee for a trial membership and can then immediately begin using your Line of Credit to make purchases. If you do not wish to continue with the service after your trial membership you can just call or email customer service to cancel. If you are happy with the service, and choose to continue you will be billed a monthly membership fee. The great thing is that your entire monthly membership fee is actually credited towards your Line of Credit on any purchases you make. So as long as you use your Line of Credit, your monthly membership fee is free.In addition, when you sign up for Global Gold you also get free trials with both Vcomm, and ID Watchdog. Vcomm offers discount long distance as well as voicemail and fax delivered right to your email! And ID Watchdog is a company that protects you against Identity theft, and Monitors your credit reports for you. Both of these offers are free trials, and there is no obligation and you can cancel at any time.
While Global Gold may not be for everyone, it is definitely worth checking into. I am a customer of First National Gold, which I believe is the same company. I have been very happy with the service so far. My orders are processed and shipped quickly, and the prices are good. They seem to be adding new products all the time, and when I could not find an item I wanted, I emailed them to request the item be added to the store and I received a prompt reply and within days my item appeared on the site, and I even received an email from them letting me know. I did not decide to keep the Vcomm membership as I already had a service that was similar, but I loved the ID Watchdog offer and have decided to keep it. A close relative just went through a huge ordeal after having their personal info stolen, and I do not want that to happen to me.
Global Gold a Scam?Opinion #1Yes. It will charge you $50 a month and sell all your personal information to other people. Don't do it.This program also operates under First National Gold and First Plus Platinum. I hesitate to use the word "scam," but the marketing is VERY DECEPTIVE. Most people believe they are applying for a credit card as that is how the offer appears, but they are applying for a Shopping Card.
Also built into the offer is ID Watchdog at $19.95 and VComm at $12.95. When you add the fee from Global Gold $39.95, your monthly fees are $72.85 a month. People signing up for this offer, are missing the fine print and finding their bank accounts somewhat short changed.
Be aware that the companies in this offer are also sharing all your personal info: Name, Address, Social Security #, and Credit Card info.
Be Very Careful when doing business with Global Gold | ID Watchdog | VComm.
Opinion #2Global Gold is NOT a credit card, it is a scamGlobal Gold aka First National Gold aka First Plus Platinum aka First Universal Platinum is a total scam. They will give you a credit line to their online shopping site, but it is way overpriced, and many times they do not even ship you what you bought. This is the reason the company goes by so many different names. If you look they all have the awarecart.com in their online address. They are a Rip-Off. They make you believe you are paying $2.78 for a credit account, but they hide a bunch of hidden charges at the bottom of the page, most of the time with a size 6 or 8 font. There is not even a check box that you have seen the other add on offers. They will automatically charge you for VComm voice mail service and ID Watchdog. So check your accounts, because most likely there are charges there. These products are not even in the Terms and Conditions but hidden at the bottom of the screen, way below the submit button. I believe that all 3 of these things are actually the same company hiding behind other names. I have taken screen shots of all 4 of these sites and I have filed complaints with the BBB and FTC. I promise I will not stop fighting until I see justice for these liars. They use misleading advertising, which will be prosecuted by the FTC. If you feel like you were fraudulently or scammed by these guys I urge you to complain to the FTC.
I have screen shots of all these sites that I have supplied the FTC. Join the fight!
