In India, we don't use the term million. We use the terms lakhs and crores whereas the western countries use the terms million, billion and so on.

1 million rupees refers to 1,000,000 rupees which is equivalent to Rs. 10 lakhs in Indian money i.e., 10,00,000. If you see, the number is exactly the same but we just have the "," comma in a different location.
