Who owns the house after insurance company pays off mortgage following a total fire loss?

my mortgage balance is less than the total loss insurance claim check, how do i get the money difference to rebuild? I would like to keep the loan in place and have the money to replace the home that burned, the check is made out to both of us, mortgage company and us. Will they refund the money or pay off the loan? I need the balance to make improvements on the home that we are replacing. Which would be valued more.

How can insurance protect us against financial loss?

Insurance protects us against financial loss by providing a safety net that covers unexpected events, such as accidents, illnesses, or property damage. By paying regular premiums, policyholders transfer the risk of significant financial burdens to the insurance company, which can pay for repairs, medical expenses, or lost income. This helps individuals and businesses manage risks and recover more quickly from unforeseen circumstances, ultimately promoting financial stability.

Veterans or Service members who have suffered a disability due to the war are eligible to apply for a home loan. There are many stipulations such as loss of limbs, blindness or severe burns.

What will happen if the US defaults on its loans?

A whole lot of bad - the US' credit rating will drop dramatically, causing interest rates on the national debt to skyrocket. This will likely drop the US into a second recession, probably worse than the first; the national economy will almost assuredly hit the skids. The stock markets around the world will react badly, causing a massive loss in investment value as well as investor trust and confidence.

Are American jobs lost because of importing?

American jobs have been lost due to imported products. The best example of this is the US auto industry. Some 30-40 years ago, GM, Ford & Chrysler dominated the auto sales business in the US. Now imported cars from Germany, Japan and South Korea have pushed the US big three auto makers aside. It's true that many imports are built in the USA, however, that has not offset the loss of automotive jobs as a whole.
